Rome was founded, according to the history, on April 21st, 753 B.C. following the murder of Remus by his brother, Romulus. It was ruled for 244 years by seven kings. The political and cultural expansion of ancient Rome, the conquests, and the boundaries of the great empire lead it to become caput orbis terrarum or caput mundi (capital of the world).
